Record Your Oral History

Thank you for considering using Long Lost Families in your desire to start recording your oral history. The popular rise of family research has seen a desire to not only build your family tree but to let the world and future generations know who you are, including your family links, life experiences, and relationships. What you have achieved and what type of person you are or were. This can be loaded up to the Mormons family research site where it will remain in perpetuity. As long as there is an internet, future generations will be able to sit and listen to you describing your important life moments. Truly your fifteen minutes of fame. Here is a link to the site.

This site can also be the starting point for your family tree. The Mormons contain the largest database of records for humankind.

We can travel to you in the comfort of your own home (UK) or manage the process using video conferencing media such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams. These can be downloaded by yourself free, prior to the start of the course below. This also means we can provide for your needs wherever you are in the English-speaking world. Australia, Canada, the USA, and New Zealand to name a few. This means that not only will future generations hear you, but they will see you as well.

We use relevant pre-scripted questions designed to allow you to talk about those areas of your life you want to recant with open-ended questions designed to prompt your memory. Tell us if you want to concentrate on a particular area of your life.

The price for the recording is £250 in total. This is for a two-hour session with a break if required. Each further hour if needed is £50 or part thereof.

Process:

1. Contact Long Lost Families to book on the next available course. We will arrange a date and time convenient for you
2. Pay your fee prior to the start below. WE CAN TAKE PAYMENTS OVER THE PHONE.
3. Once accepted and a date and time agreed, inform us of any special areas you wish covering in more depth.
4. You will be sent a link to log on to the course at the appropriate time. We will record your session and advise on setting up an an account on family search to load it it up.
